Libya suspends diplomatic relations with France
PARIS, March 12 (Itar-Tass) -- Libya suspends diplomatic relations
with France, the deputy head of the Libyan Foreign Ministry, Khaled Qaim, announced on Friday.
Earlier, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, speaking in Brussels after the EU summit, said that the European Union "no longer considers Muammar Gaddafi as a political interlocutor."
According to Paris, the sole legitimate representative of the Libyan
people is the transitional national council (TNC), acting against the
Gaddafi regime.
