Medvedev sends condolence telegram to Japan PM

MOSCOW (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has
sent his condolence telegram to Japan's Prime Minister Naoto Kan in
connection with the natural disasters, the Kremlin press service reported.
"With heartache I took the news about the natural disaster that hit
Japan - the strong earthquake and tsunami, which have taken human lives
and caused serious destruction. I ask to convey my sincere condolences to
the bereaved families and words of support to affected people," the
president said in the telegram.
"Russia is ready to provide necessary help to Japan in overcoming the
consequences of the tragedy," Medvedev said.
