S.BATBOLD ATTENDS BASKETBALL CONTEST
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Premier S.Batbold attended an opening of the basketball competition of the Pupils' League Thursday. He has congratulated them on behalf of himself and the government.
The Premier has said he always supports all sports namely basketball, and wished the pupils big achievements in the sport at international sphere. During the competitions, a mixed team comprising authorities of the city and districts has competed with a selected team of pupils.
The League of Pupils has purposes to encourage students and youths for sports training, develop basketball among secondary schools, improve skills and experiences of basketball players and coaches.
Co-organized by the city's administration, State Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Department of Education, the sports event has attracted Olympic champion Sergei Belov, a famous basketball player of the former Soviet Union, and representatives of the "Kes-Basket" organization of Russia.
