Thailand-Ghana relations remain sound
BANGKOK, March 11 (TNA) - Bilateral relationship between Ghana and Thailand has been robust and has potential to develop even further.
Ambassador of Ghana to Malaysia H.E. Daniel Abodakpi spoke of the sound relations between Thailand and Ghana at a reception held in Bangkok this week marking the 54th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Ghana--in which some 300 guests comprising trade and investment representatives as well as high-ranking government officials from the Thai Ministries of Commerce and Foreign Affairs and a number of international dignitaries take part.
The Ghana's top envoy to Malaysia insisted that the sound bilateral relations between Ghana and Thailand have mutually benefit the two countries, and that bilateral cooperation has also been active and has potential to grow even further, particularly in the area of agro-businesses.
The Ghana's ambassador said that once the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) is formed by 2015, Thailand will become a major gateway to Southeast Asia, acknowledging that, through Thailand, Ghana can further develop its relationship with the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as a whole.
