All Vietnamese safely out of Libya

March 11 (VNA)-Vietnam has evacuated all the country’s workers out of Libya. The last flight carrying more than 200 Vietnamese guest workers touched down at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi yesterday. As of yesterday, 8,728 Vietnamese workers arrived home safely, Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said at a press conference at the airport after the flight landed. “1,070 other labourers left the Benghazi Port in Libya by boat and they are scheduled to arrive at Hai Phong Port on March 21”, she said. An additional 292 workers, who had moved to Algeria and 67 others to Egypt, will be arriving in the next few days. When compared to regional countries which have guest workers in Libya, Vietnam is the first nation to bring all of their citizens home safely, minister Ngan said.
