Agriculture minister affirms importance of growing grains
affirmed on Friday the importance of encouraging farmers to grow thedifferent crops including grains.
In a statement Saba, he said that he visited Lahj and Abyan governorates and inspected transferring dams and irrigation establishments in addition to Hassan Dam which cost around $95 million with a joint finance between the government and Abu DhabiFund.
He emphasized to expand modern irrigation networks in order to preserve ground water and soil in the two governorates to meetfarmers' needs of seeds of wheat and corns.
