GER DISTRICTS' POPULATION INCREASES
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A number of families in the UB city ger (natinoal dwelling) districts has been increasing, for example, in 2009-2010 year, it rose by 5,8 percent or 9,832.
This situation brings a problem with heating and, as a consequence, with air pollution. For this reason, an air quality department has planned two versions of limited zones in ger districts. In the first one, which will cover 79 thousand 487 families, only semicoke, electricity and gas will be allowed to use. For this work some 94 billion togrog is needed.
The second zone to embrace 112 thousand 247 families will strongly limit crude coal usage. This prohibition will require a fund of 113.9 billion togrog.
