RF, Kazakhstan to launch border demarcation in Chelyabinsk Region
CHELYABINSK, March 10 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia, Kazakhstan will launch
the state border demarcation in the Chelyabinsk Region in May 2011. The joint working group is to demarcate the border section stretching at more than 869 kilometres, Chelyabinsk First Deputy Governor Oleg Grachev told Itar-Tass on Thursday. Grachev jointly with Russian Ambassador in Kazakhstan Vladimir Volkov had a meeting with officers from the FSB border-guards department in the Chelyabinsk Region and the main department for cooperation with law enforcement and military agencies.
The joint working group including representatives of the countries is to place 590 main border signs. Plastic border posts used in Russia are produced in Chelyabinsk. The border demarcation will be launched from the Bredinsk district and eastward further on.
