Chalabi, Allawi call to activate observatory role of parliament
Baghdad (NINA) –The head of the National Iraqi Assembly Ahmed al-Chalabi agreed with the head of the Iraqiya Slate Ayad Allawi to activate the observatory role of the Iraq Parliament.
A statement issued by Chalabi’s office cited “Chalabi discussed with Allawi, during their meeting, the last developments on the Iraqi arena as well as the demonstrations that took place all over Iraq,” noting that “Both sides stressed necessity to respect freedom of expressing opinion and peaceful demonstrations granted by the constitution as well as necessity of meeting all legal demands of the demonstrators.”/
