CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ On Wednesday, the cabinet discussed a draft amendment to the law on state service and a draft parliamentary resolution on approving a ratio for fixing minimum size of salary. Certain proposals will be conveyed to the draft initiators Su.Batbold and N.Enkhbold MPs.
The cabinet has appreciated results of official visit of China's Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi paid February 24-25, 2011 to Mongolia, and obliged G.Zandanshatar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, to endorse a plan of works to be done in lines of the visit and to control its implementation.
The president of the Bank of Mongolia has been allowed to sign an agreement on a draft international contract to establish a new bank uniting the International Bank for Economic Cooperation (IBEC) with the International Investment Bank (IIB), and to chair the delegation of Mongolia. The cabinet has considered as necessary to have a delegate from a state administrative organization in charge of budget participate in the agreement signing.
The government has considered as necessary to approve a document of the United Nations which determines frames of developmental aid to be rendered to Mongolia in 2012-2016. This document reflects four priorities in improving the governance. Based on it, the UN's system and specialized organizations will implement related programs.
The cabinet has backed a proposal on receiving a soft-loan of up to USD 300 million from the government of the Republic of Korea dedicated to establishing a national center of diagnosis and therapy, reducing air pollution in the city and to other purposes. It has been considered as necessary to raise this matter during official visit of Mongolia's Premier to be paid to South Korea.
In accordance with a cabinet decision, keys to two three-rooms' apartments will be given to J.Gurragchaa, the first astronaut of Mongolia and Hero of both Mongolia and the former Soviet Union; and his backup astronaut M.Ganzorig, on occasion of the 30th anniversary of the joint space program of Mongolia and Soviet Union.
