POL: PPP good working relationships with army & judiciary

LAHORE, March 10, 2011 (PPI): Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Punjab President Imtiaz Safdar Wariach has said that PPP has good working relations with all state institutions including judiciary and army and institutions were playing their role according to the law and construction in present regime. He said PPP has no differences with army and judiciary. The parliament, army and judiciary were playing their role independently.

Address a press conference here at Lahore Press Club (LPC) on Thursday accompanied with Sami Ullah Khan, Dr Fakharud Din, Usman Malik and Orangzeb Barki, PPP Punjab President said that army was fighting the war on terror and even army also arranged a briefing before this operation and all security agencies were fighting the war on terror with the support of government.

Imtiaz Safdar Wariach criticized Mian Shahbaz Sharif’s statement regarding consultation with army and judiciary and said this statement was extra constructional act. He said PML-N leadership was trying to repeat its past history and they want to Zia era but we condemned this political attitude. He said PML-N was denying the peoples mandate and they were hating the elected representatives and institutions. He said no politician has made such demand in history like PML-N leadership.

He said PML-N had not enjoyed good relations during their government and Mian Nawaz Sharif made confrontation with Gen Abdul Wahid Kakar, Gen Asif Nawaz Jonjya, Gen Jehangir Karamat, Gen Ali Quli Khan, former President Ishaq khan, Farooq Leghari and Gen Pervez Musharraf and they could not go long run with anybody due to their attitude.

Imtiaz Safdar Wariach said that PPP would call round table conference and invite all politicians to rid the country on present crisis.
