Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The cabinet meeting held Wednesday obliged N.Altankhuyag, the First Deputy Premier, to work out draft design, specification and rule of the electronic ID card of Mongolian citizens.
A head of the General Authority for State Registration L.Monkhbaatar has been ordered to ensure a preparation for changing the citizens' ID cards.
The new ID card will have all levels of registration and information and will create an objective data of the civil registration. It is considered that the new card will become a basis of the state service. Thanks to the new ID card, Mongolia will get a comprehensive system of registration and information and will thus abolish all related problems and difficulties. A classification of the ID cards will be improved as well.
As the cabinet considers, the revised civil registration of 2010, which created people's finger prints and digital photos data, will be the basic information of the E-ID cards.
