Iran rejects claims it does not cooperate with IAEA

TEHRAN, March 10 (MNA) -- During the meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement members on Wednesday, the Iranian ambassador to the IAEA, Ali Asghar Soltanieh said the claims that Iran does not cooperate with the IAEA are unfounded.

He stated that the fact that the IAEA conducts regular inspections of Iran’s nuclear facilities and has installed cameras at those facilities proves that these allegations are false.

“The agency has full access to all nuclear material and facilities in the Islamic Republic of Iran, conducting routine and unannounced inspection as well as 24-hour cameras. Therefore, the assertion that Iran is not providing the necessary cooperation is incorrect and misleading.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said, “The real intention of the proponents of the illegal United Nations Security Council resolutions is not the temporary suspension of only enrichment activities but the suspension of the entire nuclear fuel cycle, paving the way for the ultimate cessation of all nuclear activities in Iran.”
