NAM supports Iran at IAEA meeting
TEHRAN, March 10 (MNA) -- The Non-Aligned Movement(NAM) has issued a statement expressing support for Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities, which was approved by the IAEA.
The statement was read out by Egypt’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) during a meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors on Wednesday.
According to the Iranian ambassador to the IAEA, Ali Asghar Soltanieh, the IAEA Board of Governors previously approved the statement issued by NAM confirming the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear activities.
“The meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement members was held on Friday, and the statement of the group, which was in support of Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities and program, was approved,” Soltanieh said on Saturday.
