Youth killed, woman injured over Karo-kari (honour killing)
Ratodero, March 09, 2011 (PPI): A young man was killed and a woman injured on the pretext of Karo-Kari (honour killing) in the jurisdiction of Behram Police Station of Kamber-Shahdadkot District late Wednesday night.
According to SHO Behram Police Station Ghulam Hyder, a FIR number 13/2011 has been lodged by Mubarak Seero, father-in-law of the deceased Muhammad Brohi. In the FIR, Seero accused that Niazal, Qurban, Sadam and Hamid (all belonging to the Chandio caste) had come to their home and took his son Brohi to their place which was situated nearby. Shortly, on hearing a gunshot, Seero rushed to that place and saw his son lying dead.
The motive behind the killing was Karo-kari.
After few minutes, one of the accused Hamid Chandio fired a gun shot and injured his 30 years old wife Leelan Chandio. She was shifted to Chandka Medical College Hospital for medical aid.
Leelan was worried about her security in the hospital.
