Yemen, Jordan to establish specialized hospital in Yemen
studying establishing a joint company to build a specializedhospital in Yemen financed the two countries' private sectors.
Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul Karim Rase'a and Jordanian Minister of Health Salah al-Mawajdeh held talks in Amman over the necessity of creating a mechanism to regulate treating sick Yemenis in the private and public Jordanian hospitals and enhancing the role of the medical attachés in Sana'a and Amman for thispurpose.
It is expected that at the end of Yemeni-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee (YJJHC) meetings being held in Amman currently, Yemen andJordan will sign a health cooperation protocol.
The protocol stipulates to exchange expertise in medicine manufacturing and laboratories, training Yemeni doctors and sending Jordanian specialized medical teams to work in major hospitals of Yemeni governorates in addition to gaining advantage from the Jordan's experience in preparing forensic law draft, its executivebylaw and to set up Forensic body.
Based on the protocol, Jordan will allocate a number of annual remedial grants for sick Yemenis in the Health Ministry's hospitalsand the Al-Hussein Medical City.
