China urges its citizens in Russia to observe local laws
BEIJING, March 9 (Itar-Tass) - China's Foreign Ministry has called on
the Chinese citizens who go to Russia to work or to travel to observe
Russia's laws.
"During trips to Russia the Chinese citizens should respect the local legislation, comply with the visa rules and should not engage in
activities that are beyond their current status of the stay to avoid
undesired losses," the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
China's Foreign Ministry issued such a statement following an incident in the Krasnoyarsk territory, when migration control police during a special raid detained a group of China's citizens who came to Russia on a tourist visa and worked there at vegetable greenhouses.
Violators were deported to China.
