Kate, Chelsy invited to Charles' 60th
APP - The Queen has invited the girlfriends of princes William and Harry to a lavish banquet celebrating Prince Charles' 60th birthday.
William's partner Kate Middleton and Harry's on-off girlfriend Chelsy Davy both received invitations to attend the bash at Buckingham Palace on November 13.
It is believed to be the first time Middleton and Davy have been invited to a formalreception at the palace.
"It would have been a snub to William and Harry to have left their girlfriends'names off the guest list," a senior royal source told The Sun newspaper.
About 150 guests have been invited to the party, each having to adhere to a strictdress code - black tie for men and long dresses for women.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and a host of dignitaries are expected to attendthe party, which will be held one day before Charles turns 60.
