Nearly 6,000 Thai workers return home from Libya

BANGKOK, March 7 (TNA) - Another group of 444 Thai workers arrived home from Libya Monday morning (March 7), making a total number of 5,728 Thai nationals having arrived in Thailand from the unrest-stricken North African nation since last month.
More Thai people have continued arriving home with several flights arriving at Thailand's main Suvarnabhumi International Airport Monday morning, including two Thai Airways International (THAI) Flights carrying some 154 Thai nationals from Rome and an Emirates Airline Flight carrying 15 Thai people from the United Arab Emirates. Four more flights are expected to arrive in Thailand Monday afternoon.
Several Thai returnees from Libya have requested assistance from the Thai government, saying that they have not yet received their wages from their employers and have remained indebted to private employment agents or other people who helped pay their travelling expenses in advance. (TNA)
