Homaid calls for coordination to tackle social impacts on Saada

al-Razaq Homaid affirmed on Tuesday importance of coordination between the government bodies, the civil society organizations and domestic and international organizations to tackle social andpsychotic impacts on Saada children.

In a workshop over child protection on emergencies organized by the ministry and the UNICEF in Yemen , Homaid made it clear that the workshop comes within agenda of the continuing cooperation between the ministry of the UNICEF to study conditions of children in Saadaprovince.

For her part, the UNICEF deputy resident representative to Sana'a Ann Mary Muliski said that the workshop is considered a first of itskind in the Middle East and North Africa.

She said that the workshop aims at coming out with recommendations to offer better protection for children affected by war anddisasters.

She highlighted efforts of the Yemeni government represented by the social affairs ministry in protecting Saada children. Child protection is one of key mandate of UNICEF, she added.AH
