Emotional Minogue tells of cancer battle

(AAP) - Australia pop star Kylie Minogue has broken down and cried while talking about her battle with cancer during an emotional television interview.
"It was my family who supported me through the really rotten, dark moments," she told Molly Meldrum during an interview on Channel Seven's Sunday Night.
She recounted a particularly emotional moment during her 2005 battle with breast cancer when she was talking to the parents of a sick child in hospital.
"I was just making conversation with the child, with the parents, giving them some support," she said.
"(Then) they eyeballed me and said ... `we hope you get through it'."
At this point Minogue walked out of the interview for a moment to compose herself.
"The greatest part of my job ... is the humanity of it and there's certain moments where that just really cuts through," she said in explanation.
The interview was given to promote Minogue's Aphrodite world tour, which is under way, having started in Denmark.
