Czech festival screens Iran’s submission to Academy Awards
TEHRAN,March 6(MNA)--“Farewell Baghdad”, Iran’s submission to the 2011 Academy Awards, is currently on screen at the Cinema Mundi International Film Festival in Czech.
The film, along with other movies, which was in the category of Best Foreign Language Film at the recent edition of the Oscars, is currently on screen at the festival that will run until March 9.
Directed by Mehdi Naderi, the film is about Daniel Dalka, a boxer who has killed someone, enlists in the U.S. army to escape from the mafia that is seeking revenge, and is then sent to Iraq.
