TOKYO, March 3 (Itar-Tass) - Japan's chief cabinet secretary, Yukio Edano, has expressed concern over the Russian Foreign Ministry's decision to ban the entry of leaders of Japan's two non-governmental organizations.
"I hope that these steps would not have a negative impact on the
dialogue among the two countries' people," he said.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said on
Wednesday Russia imposed an entry ban for the heads of the Japanese
organizations - the Brotherhood Community Devoted for Great Japan and the Solidarity League for the Return of Northern Territories.
They were banned to enter Russia following desecration of the Russian flag by ultra right activists in front of Russia's embassy in Tokyo on February 7.
The heads of the above-mentioned NGOs planned to visit Russia on March 8-13 to hold talks with Russia's organizations.
