DRAFT AMENDMENT TO LAW SUBMITTED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Health S.Lambaa submitted Thursday a draft amendment to the law on putting control over turnover of drugs and mentally influencing substances, to the Speaker D.Demberel.
It is considered that the above law, approved in 2002, has a great importance in controlling the turnover of drugs and mentally influencing substances. But the need to amend it has been caused by increasing illegal actions at international level to produce drugs and its raw materials and to transport them, besides, such crimes have become main means of and a basis of money laundering and other organized crimes.
The Minister has initiated the draft taking into account a demand to refine upon the state regulation on controlling a usage of the drugs.
