CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The cabinet meeting on Wednesday decided to submit to the National Security Council the results of the President's working visit to Switzerland, January 23-26, and of his parrticipation in the Davos meeting, January 26-30.
- The cabinet did not support an initiated by some MPs parliamentary draft resolution on measures for reducing the UB city's air pollution, for its content and targets are coinciding with an initiated by the President and approved in January 10 this year by parliament resolution.
- The meeting considered and then supported draft laws on "Amending the law on auto transport" and "Àmending the law on special permissions for entities". The bills will be submitted to parliament.
- Permission were given to several aimags to celebrate their remarkable dates June 22-30 this year.
- The cabinet supported intentions to grant a General title to some high bodies and decided to submit this decision to the President.
- It was decided to mark the 50-year anniversary of Mongolia's becoming the member of the UN. It took place in October 27 in 1961.
- A commission was set up headed by Finance Minister S.Bayartsogt to run entities and organizations census in April this year. In view of this, some related authorities were given orders. The census results must be presented to the Government in December this year.
- Since the start of this year, the cabinet at its meetings discussed 95 issues and got au fait with 42 ones. It was decided to submit ten issues to parliament, five--to law initiators, one--to parliament Standing committee to agree with, five--to National Security Council for consideration. In January and February this year, decisions to issue 56 governmental resolutions and the Premier's 13 orders were made official.
