IRON PROCESSING FACTORY MAY BE ERECTED WITH JAPAN'S TECHNOLOGY
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A mutual understanding memorandum was signed by B.Batkhuu, a department head of the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy on mining and heavy industry policy, and by Naoto Suzuki, a general manager of the "Kobe Steel" Group.
In accordance with the memorandum, Mongolia will introduce new technologies for erecting a factory of producing high-purity iron, and will study possibility of the technologies in the metallurgical factory of Darkhan. These works will be done by the "Kobe Steel" Group.
In the first turn, the group will do a primary test on iron ore and coal extracted from Mongolia at its lab, and then will cooperate with Mongolia in calculating the general engineering data, preparing specialists and experts. If the lab test show a positive result, the sides will seek methods of the techniques and technologies in Mongolia, implement a related project and establish a joint company or adequate business organization.
