MOSCOW, March 2 (Itar-Tass) - The Moscow members of the United Russia party (URP) are to elect a new chief at an extraordinary conference of the Moscow city regional branch (Russian acronym MGRO) on Wednesday.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin is expected to be elected to the post, the more so as a proposal to head the URP's city organization he received from URP Chairman and RF Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
At the conference, Sobyanin, who is a member of the Supreme Council of the URP, is to deliver a report entitled "The Immediate Tasks Facing the Moscow City Organization of the URP".
