WREATHS LAID TO MONUMENT TO D.SUKHBAATAR
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ On occasion of the 90th anniversary of Mongolian People's Party (MPP), the state leaders laid Tuesday wreaths to the monument to D.Sukhbaatar.
Present there were the Premier and a chairman of the party S.Batbold, the Speaker and his vice D.Demberel and N.Enkhbold, the party's secretary-general U.Khurelsukh, the MPP faction head D.Lundeejantsan, the pary's members and supporters, D.Sukhbaatar's grandchild Z.Khaidar, and foreign delegates.
A ceremony also has run to unveil a reconstructed monument to Sukhbaatar.
"Sukhbaatar Damdin was an ardent struggler for Mongolia's people and independence, a founder of the Mongolian People's Party, an outstanding figure of the people's government and a Marshal of Mongolian army," thePremier Batbold has stressed.
Initially, the monument was designed by artists led by S.Choimbol, a State Honored Cultural Figure and State Prize Holder, in 1946 on occasion of the 25th anniversary of the People's Revolution.
