Charity for quake victims in NZ

BANGKOK, March 1 (TNA) - Two Buddhist temples in Bangkok, Wat Indhara Viharn and Wat Nakprok, have set up their ad-hoc centres for fund-raising to assist Thai and foreign nationals in quake-hit New Zealand.
The two Thai temples are seeking financial support from local donors for the quake victims in New Zealand South Island's Christchurch City--who have been temporarily sheltered at Wat Buddha Samakhee--the only Thai temple in Christchurch which was also slightly damaged by the 6.3 magnitude tremor striking the New Zealand second largest city on February 22.
The Thai quake victims sheltered at the Buddha Samakhee Temple, including students, have also been provided with food support.
The two temples in Bangkok have raised an over 200,000 baht fund for the quake victims in Christchurch so far and will first transfer the money to them on March 12. (TNA)
