By the end of February, over 80 percent of Mongolia's countryside has been covered with snow. In provinces of Uvs, Zavkhan, Khovsgol, Arkhangai, Ovorkhangai, Bulgan and Dornod a livestock pasturing is getting harder due to 25-58 sm thick snow. In other aimags, an earth surface has been covered by a thin layer of ice.
