More Thai workers arrive home from Libya

BANGKOK, Mar 1 (TNA) - More Thai workers have arrived home from Libya and have sought immediate assistance from the Thai government for new jobs and for currency exchange.
A group of 31 Thai nationals, mostly construction workers, first arrived safely at Thailand's Suvarnabhumi Airport Tuesday morning (Mar 1) from Libya's Benghazi City with smiling faces, followed by another group of 64 Thai labouers from Abu Dhabi, where they were temporarily sheltered after evacuating from riot-torn Libya before flying home.
Upon their arrivals at the Suvarnabhumi Airport, the Thai workers requested for the Thai government's assistance for their new jobs, for their currency exchanges from the Libyan dinar into the Thai baht and for the establishment of a compensation fund--from which they can seek financial support until they find their new jobs. Currently, 1 dinar equals to 24 baht. (TNA)
