Maliki supports early election of Iraqi provincial councils
Baghdad (NINA) – Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said, "The Council of Ministers issues a batch of decisions related to activate the ministries' work, and respond to citizens' legitimate demands."
In a press conference Maliki expressed support to the public demand of an early election of provincial and municipal councils.
As for the 100 days given to ministers to rectify the situation at their ministries, Maliki said that this period is a test to show whether the minister is moving on the right direction.
