Friends of Yemen Group coordination meeting held RIYADH
Feb.28 (Saba) - A coordination meeting to prepare for the meeting of Friends of Yemen Group, scheduled to be held in Riyadh on 22 March, was held on Monday at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Riyadh.
The meeting agreed on the agenda of the ministerial meeting of the Group scheduled to be held on March 22-23 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
The meeting affirmed the importance of gathering all potentials to support the 4th five year plan 2011-2015 of Yemen and raising Yemen's capabilities in reducing poverty and unemployment as well as supporting Yemen's efforts in fighting terrorism.
It is scheduled to hold the Yemeni-Gulf Joint Technical Committee meeting on Tuesday at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Riyadh.
Over two days, the meeting will discuss a number of topics including following up recommendations of the Friends of Yemen Group meeting which was held in New York on 24 September last year.
