GERMAN EXPERTS VISIT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Germany's experts group has visited Mongolia February 14 to 25.
This visit was an outcome of Germany's Minister of economic cooperation and development D.Nebel who, being here with an official visit in August of 2010, promised to implement a three million euro-funded project in Mongolia's mineral sphere.
The experts, led by independent adviser, former head of East Asian division, Ministry of economic cooperation and development Robert Haas, comprised representatives of Geo science and mineral office, Center of standardization and measurement and international cooperation society.
The German have met state and private sector's people in order to draw up a project design based on Mongolia's mineral sector's situation, future plan and demands.
Depending on the meetings' results, a “Comprehensive initiative in minerals and raw materials” project is to appear to improve policy environment and to support an economic growth with Mongolia and Germany participation.
The sides have signed a meeting note, agreeing to support a collaboration in mineral sector, human resources and good governance.
