ABOUT TALKS BETWEEN MONGOLIAN AND CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTERS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China Mr. Yang Jiechi and his Mongolian counterpart G.Zandanshatar have held talks in frames of Jiechi's official visit to Mongolia February 24-25.
The Ministers have underlined that the two countries both have an aspiration to bring the bilateral mutually beneficial relations and cooperation into a new level and to enrich them with new contents. The main objectives of the talks were to reach a principal agreement on establishing ties of strategic partnership and to share opinions on the matters.
The Mongolian Minister has expressed a satisfaction with similarity of understanding of content of the strategic partnership, and pointed out that the talks are an expression of a great importance attached by the countries to their relations and cooperation.
Mr. Yang has noted the talks are a big opportunity to forward the relations and cooperation, mentioning that the sides have reached some agreements on wide issues.
The two dignitaries have said they want to strengthen the political confidence, intensify the commercial and economic collaboration, pay a special attention to the environmental issues, cooperate in several fields such as protecting cultural heritage and widening local and humanitarian ties.
The Chinese side has agreed to forward the relations in above contents and bring them into a newer level.
