OPEN HEARING ABOUT REDUCTION OF AIR POLLUTION
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Civil Hall has hosted an open hearing on measures for reducing air pollution in Ulaanbaatar. It has been organized by Sub-council of Fuel and Energy at the President of Mongolia.
At the event, the city's deputy mayor D.Ganbold introduced some measures to reduce Ulaanbaatar's air pollution, a general dispatcher of the Center of Energy and Heating Productions spoke about calculations of energy potential of providing the ger district with electricity. A deputy director of the "Ulaanbaatar Electricity Distribution Station" company Ch.Onortsetseg has given a speech about participation of the company in reduction of air pollution, and an officer of the "MCS International" LLC T.Monkhtor has introduced a project of constructing a coal gas factory.
According to a survey made by a parliamentary working group, it is possible to give to 6,000 families the electricity discount in the first turn. The gathered have underlined it is important to intensify a constructing of the 5 and 6 thermal power stations to provide these families with heating from 2013.
A calculation shows the most part of the city's ger families will get electricity within this year when the factories of processing coke coal and fuel are put into use.
