PREMIER GIVES SPEECH ABOUT HEALTH SECTOR
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold participated in a consultation of medical administrative officers that started Friday in the Ministry of Health.
At the consultation themed "Year of supporting social health and public physical culture", the Premier has said the Kuwaiti side decided to positively solve talks about constructing a new pediatric hospital with a financial aid of USD 35 million. He has obliged the administrative officials to pay attention to realizing the related works.
The Premier has mentioned all Mongolians must be healthy and obtain education, jobs and apartments. He has noted the child and maternal mortalities have been decreasing thanks to a legal reform in the health sector, and financing and investments have increased for the sector. In addition, diagnostic and therapy centers have been established. Measures have started for attracting domestic and foreign investments and for supply of the latest facilities to medical organizations as well.
S.Batbold has said the government decided to construct the biggest buildings for medical purposes but criticized that the number of Mongolians to visit foreign countries for treatment and diagnosis is still high.
During the consultation, the Premier has ordered localities and the districts' authorities to continue constructing sports buildings. He has underlined a requirement to refine upon the law on health insurance, and promised to comprehensively support the health sector.
