MONGOLIA TAKES PART IN STATISTICAL COMMISSION MEETING

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Mongolia's representatives led by a head of the National statistical office, S.Mendsaikhan participated in the 42nd forum of UNDP statistical commission organized in New York, USA, February 18-25.
Delegates met there W.Moore, a head of international relations office of the Federal statistical office, Germany, and a head of Statistical office of Republic Korea E Ansell, who also a representative of S.Korea-Germany consortium that acts as an adviser to the MONSTAT project being implemented at the Mongolian office at credit and non-refundable aid of the World bank.
Mr. Mendsaikhan has said that the WB's S.Korea-based Confidence foundation would give additional fund to the MONSTAT project, adding that if the money are approved, the project's frames will be expanded.
Then he has talked with the consortium people about the MONSTAT project's plan for 2011. Apart of this, he has been said that Germany and S/.Korea would support Mongolia in its seeking a membership in the UNDP Statistical commission.
The consortium representation also congratulated a vice head of the National statistical office G.Gerelt-Od for being working as the vice head of the statistical committee bureau of Asia-Pacific economic commission of UNDP.
