NINE RECITE QURAN AT INT QURANIC ASSEMBLY
KUALA TERENGGANU, Aug 20 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Shamsul Arifin Supian were among nine participants who recited the Quran on the first day of the 50th International Quranic Recital Assembly at the Islamic Civilisation Park here Tuesday.
Other male participants were Mohammad Said Ali Abutar (Libya), Djily Niang(Senegal), Moegammad Aadil Abdurrahim (South Africa) and Rushan Akshov (Russia).
Female participants were Kadiatou Bary (Guinea), Alimatou Hissoumu (Mali),Shehnaz Akhtar Muhammad Shafique (Pakistan) and Bil Kis Bi Bi (Myanmar).
Eighty participants from 49 countries are taking part in the event held forthe first time outside Kuala Lumpur.
