Baghdad (NINA) – The demonstration that began since Friday morning, Feb. 25, in Tahreer Square in central Baghdad, ended and demonstrators dispersed.

He added, "Among the most outstanding demand is improving the services, making corrupt accountable and providing work opportunities to the unemployed, as well as reducing the pension salaries to top government officials."

"Representatives for the government assured demonstrators that the government will comply with the demonstrators' legitimate demands and will issue a statement on it." The Reporter went on.

The Tahreer Square in central Baghdad witnessed during the day a demonstration and clashes between police and demonstrators during which rock throwing resulted in wounding a number of demonstrators and security men.
