Clashes erupt in Tahrir Square
Baghdad (NINA) –The security forces positioned near the entrances of Tahrir Square of central Baghdad clashed with demonstrators, using back of guns and batons.
Eyewitnesses mentioned to the National Iraqi News Agency “The Anti-Riots forces tried to disband the demonstrators and push them outside Tahrir Square, but the demonstrators rejected to do so,” noting that “The security forces used batons and back of their guns to disband the demonstrators which caused many injuries among the demonstrators.”
The eyewitnesses also reported that the “Anti Riots forces attempted to remove some cameramen an journalists from that site after start of clashes and tried to confiscate their cameras.” /End/
