KCNA Internet site launches new pages.
PYONGYANG, February 25 (Itar-Tass) - The Internet site of the DPRK's official information agency - KCNA - has launched new pages: Politics, Economy, Culture, Nature, World and Media.
With the new resources, users will be able to get more information on the activities of the North Korean leader, Kim Jong Il, a statement published on Friday by the Korean Central News Agency reads. The agency supplies news on events in the republic for local and foreign media.
One of the site's pages is devoted to Kim Jong Il's activities and his visits to military units, industrial enterprises and construction sites, the agency reports. Information on the home and foreign policies of the country as well as on the inter-Korean relations is available on the Politics page. International events are presented on the World page. The Media page contains articles and comments from North Korean newspapers.
The site offers pictures and videos. Besides information in the Korean,
English and Spanish languages, the KCNA places information in Japanese.
South Korea has blocked for its citizens the access to the KCNA's site and to several other Internet resources, which support the DPRK's
policies, referring to the "law on home security," which bans contacts
with Koreans in the North.
