Speaker: Iraqi political sides seek achieving reforms

Baghdad (NINA) –The Iraqi Parliament Speaker, Usama al-Nijeifi, pointed out that “Currently, Iraqi is passing through a new stage that witness setting the plans for reforms.”

A statement the Speaker’s office quoted him as saying while meeting the Iraqi Community in Syria “The current parliament assumed its position as the highest authority in the country,” stressing that “Some of the Iraqi political sides are seeking to achieve the reforms through reshaping the State and confronting corruption.”

He promised to “Send a parliamentary Commission to discuss the problems and the impediments that Iraqis suffer from in Syria.”
