BILATERAL DOCUMENTS AND PRESS CONFERENCE
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In frames of the official visit of the Premier S.Batbold, the countries have signed some official documents of the Mongolia-Australia cooperation. Related ministers have inked these documents on the cooperation in the fields of education, agriculture and sciences.
After the ceremony of signing the documents, the Prime Ministers have called a press conference. The Mongolian Premier has said Mongolian government appreciated a role of the Australian government in rendering various assistance to Mongolia for strengthening democracy, forming new structure of socio-economy and preparing specialized staffers. He has said Australia is one of its Third neighbors, and expressed a willingness to keep a high level of the bilateral political talks and to bring the cooperation into an expanded partnership.
Mr. Batbold has underlined that Mongolia wants to develop collaboration with Australia in extraction and processing of gold, copper, uranium, iron ore, and in constructing infrastructure and urban development. These proposals and requests have been appreciated by the Australian Prime Minister Mrs. Julia Gillard.
The sides have considered possibilities of cooperating in the agricultural sector such as in establishing a model farm of sheep, planting wheat, pasture and fodder plants.
