Judge's aide suspected of forging court's decisions
MOSCOW, February 24 (Itar-Tass) - An aide to a judge at Moscow's
Kuntsevo district court is suspected of forging court's decisions,
spokeswoman for the Moscow City Court Anna Usachyova said.
A service check was carried out on Nadezhda Sakharova in November
2010, after a man requested to clarify the decision by judge Lyubov
Sergeyeva on real estate ownership. The man attached to his statement a copy of the court's decision with the signatures of the judge and the court's secretary judge's signature.
"A check ascertained that in July 2010, judge Sergeyeva passed the
decision not to review the statement, but the judge's aide drew the
decision on behalf of the judge to meet the man's request," Usachyova said.
The applicant party then requested the city registration service to
file his right to participatory share on the strength of the Kuntsevo
court's decision. But the procedure was suspended as judge Sergeyeva
intervened.
In this connection, Moscow City Court chairwoman Olga Yegorova told
director of the city department of the Investigation Committee Vadim
Yakovenko that "the above facts affect the groundwork of Russia's judicial system; they require a thorough check where none of the culprits would avoid just punishment."
"I request to launch a comprehensive check into the above facts and
open criminal proceedings n the event of evidence pointing to the signs of crime," Yegorova said in her letter to the SK official.
A law-enforcement source told Itar-Tass that Sakharova had forged a
number of the judge's decisions. She confirmed disability of two women, arrested a debtor's property, registered tenants in a disputed apartment, and overruled her superior's decision. A criminal case over forgery has been opened against her, according to the law-enforcement official.
