AZERBAIJAN FOREIGN MINISTRY INVITES OSCE, COE, CIS OBSERVERS TO MONITOR OCT 15 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
Baku, 18 AUGUST,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry has invited observers from the OSCE, Council of Europe (CoE) and CIS to monitor the October 15 presidential election in the country, the Ministry`s spokesman Khazar Ibrahim tol.
According to him, the OSCE and CoE have already received the invitation. Ibrahim noted 30 long-term observers of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) will be deployed to Azerbaijan at the beginning of September. “In addition, the OSCE will send 450 short-term observers to Baku at the beginning of Octoberâ€, he added.
Ibrahim also said the Azerbaijan Milli Majlis (Parliament) has invited observers from the OSCE, CoE and CIS, too.
