New Domestic Airport for Hail Region
Abdulaziz, The Vice Governor of Hail Region announced here last night that the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) is considering a new design for Hail Airport. This came in line with the directives of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulazizand the Crown Prince.
The new airport will accommodate approximately 1.5 Million passengers annually in addition to construction of airplane areaswith capacity of 13 aircraft.
He said the new main building will be 3-storey high; the first floor reserved for travel and reception; the second floor for arrival and departure terminals and the third floor for private and VIP loungesin addition to extended areas for restaurants.
