Turkish parliament ratifies Turkish-Azerbaijani inter-governmental agreements
Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 23 (Trend)The Turkish Parliament ratified two Turkish-Azerbaijani inter-governmental agreements at yesterday’s meeting, the Turkish Parliament told Trend.
The parliament ratified an Agreement on cooperation between the governments of Turkey and Azerbaijan in the field of copyright and intellectual property rights signed on June 30, 2005 and a Supplementary Agreement to the Social Security Treaty signed between the governments of Turkey and Azerbaijan on July 17, 1998.
“These agreements will come into force following the ratification by the President,” the Turkish parliament said.
The Turkish Parliamentary Foreign Relations Commission has developed final bills to approve the agreements at the meeting held on Jan. 5, 2011, after which they were submitted to the Parliament for consideration.
