Malaysian minister underlines importance of police force cooperation with Turkey
ANKARA (A.A) - 22.02.2011 - Malaysia's Minister of Home Affairs Hishamuddin Tun Hussein on Tuesday underlined importance of cooperation between police forces of Turkey and Malaysia.
Hussein, currently in Turkey for talks, met with Turkish Interior Minister Besir Atalay and later addressed students in Security Sciences Faculty.
Hussein said the countries were face to face with crimes extending from terrorism to human and weapon smuggling and underlined importance of cooperation between police forces.
Hussein said Turkey was a bridge between the East and the West, and added that Turkey was an example country not only to the West but also to the whole world being a progressive and democratic country.
Malaysian minister also expressed uneasiness over the definition of "Islamic terrorism".
