Turkish Interior Minister Besir Atalay met with Malaysian Minister of Home Affairs Hishamuddin Tun Hussein in Ankara.
Following the meeting, Atalay told reporters that the meeting focused on cooperation in security. He said Malaysia's police chief would visit Turkey in April to speed up works on cooperation in police training.
Atalay also said that he would guide the visiting minister on Tuesday at a tour of Turkish Police Academy for an on-site briefing about training activities of the Turkish police.
For his part, Hussein said that he had chance to discuss cooperation between police organizations of the two countries, as well as fight against international crimes and terrorism. He added that Turkey played an important part in those fields.
